He's a Boy!

Boy Terror has become, overnight, a boy. I don't know how this happened. I thought we treated both kids the same. They share the toys, they play the same games. But suddenly, he's all boy. It started when he got a mini basketball at a yard sale a few weeks ago. He adores that ball. He carries it everywhere. He wants it to sleep in the bed with him, but I'm too mean to allow that. Now, he keeps hucking the ball at me, shouting "CATCH!" as it bounces off my head. He is busy playing with dinosaurs. The dollies have been tossed aside in favour of trucks. If Girl Terror builds anything with the blocks, he is right there to knock it down, with sound effects. "Crash! Boom!" There are no more hugs and snuggles, unless he is feeling particularly quiet. Now it's all noise, all the time.
It's good that he's finally over the princess-dress-up stage, but I could live without the basketball in my skull.

I have noticed too that the boys in my neighbourhood are so much noisier than the girls.

Too cute that he suddenly became all boy.

You can fix that by making the basketball disappear for a few hours.
