No, I have the cutest kid!
I know I call her a Terror, but sometimes she pulls out all the stops, and I just have to love her. The other night, she was all tucked into bed, the ritual "night-night, love you, kiss kiss hug" was done, and I was sneaking down the stairs. Just as I thought everyone was asleep, I heard a sad little voice crying out in her room. When I went in and asked what was wrong, she said "I need kisses." I told her, "I already kissed you." (I know, I know, I'm cold hearted, but if you have kids you know this game can go on until midnight.) "No, Mummy, I lost my kisses. I need more." So I kissed her sweet cheeks, and when she held up her hand, I put a kiss in it. She clenched her tiny fist around the kiss, and held out her other hand. With a kiss tucked safely into each palm, she tucked her hands under her arms, and rolled over to sleep. At that moment, she could have asked for anything in this world, and I would have given it to her.

Awwwww...okay you DO have the cutest kid! Sniff...sniff.
Over here its lunch money, not kisses. But, you now, whatever...
OOPS. That should have read "you know" not "you now". *runs off to drink more coffee*
That's about the cutiest thing I've heard! I wouldn't have been able to resist it, either!!
This post, like so many others on your site, is richly loaded with sentiment. As a parent, I can't help but get misty when I read it. Thanks!
That's just the sweetest thing. I used to do that with my kids; I'd kiss the palm of each hand and fold their little fingers over it, and say, "Good night, sleep tight, sweet dreams, keep it all the night." And they would fall asleep with those little fingers clenched, to keep the kiss safe. Don't you just LOVE these little rituals? And won't you miss them when they're gone? You sure will. Believe it, sister.
