Girls Day Out

Girl Terror and I had a fantastic day. I remember now why I wanted a little girl! We shopped, and shopped, and shopped some more. We ran errands. We puttered. We sang songs in the car, and had a great time. We shared a Caesar salad and nachos for lunch, and amazed the waitress. She had trouble believing it when Girl Terror politely ordered "A Caesar salad, please!" and then proceeded to eat almost the entire thing herself.
Hubby claims that Boy Terror was charming and cute all day, but I'm having trouble believing it. He's back to his ornery, just-turned-two miserable self. I don't know what's wrong with him, but I'm ready to sell him to the gypsies.

Horray for you!
Doing girl stuff is soooo fun!
It's always so much fun (and expensive!)

Sell him to the gypsies? I remember my children when they were two - I had to stop myself from leaving them on the roadside holding a cardboard sign that read "FREE".

heck, the gypsies gave me $20 to *keep* #2 when he was little. "no no" they said "no demon child" The good news is, he's 16 now and I couldn't ask for a better kid.

See, that's why I wanted a girl, all that girly shopping stuff like I used to do with my mother.

As for BT's issues, we have this theory that I think is Oh So True: the more trouble a boy is when they're little, the less when they are big. My 3 teens prove the theory. So. Suck it up, babe, it'll get better.

Oh- and as to him behaving well for hubs, he probably did.

hahaha! We threaten with the gypsies, too. Only we say, "not the nice gypsies, the dirty gypsies." And yes, sometimes I'm ready to hand them to any gypsey that walks down the street, which is a fairly empty threat considering we live in the middle of a country with nary a gypsey to be seen.

I remember wishing mine would get through the toddler years, and then she became a teenager. I wanted the toddler back. Hooray for girls!
