What was YOUR favourite decade?

I sat next to two girls in the movie theatre tonight who were reading a new People magazine. It's a special issue, dedicated to remembering the 90's. Being young, boppy teens, thay were chatty and friendly to me. The one girl couldn't believe that it had been SO LONG since she last played with Pokemon. The other one checked out the pictures Macaulay Culkin, and fondly said "I loved that movie when I was a little kid." I finally couldn't take it anymore, and told them "You really won't feel old until the kids you used to babysit go and get married."
They gave me the magazine to take home.

My youngest stepson (almost 11) was telling me about something he did "when he was a little kid", and then was most insulted when I snorted my water out my nose...

My four year old daughter has told me twice in the last week about things she did when she was a little girl! I almost died laughing.

My favorite decade was the early-mid '80's. I was young enough to have fun and old enough to know how, and reckless enough to do dangerous things and stupid enough to ignore the consequenses.

It startles me to realize the people born during that time are having kids of their own.

What gets me thinking about how OLD I am is when they announce a retro music hour on the radio and play 80's and 90's music...wahhhhh...I don't want to turn 40 this year!
