I need to introduce you to the newest member of our family....Lucy the whippet. She is absolutely the sweetest thing ever!
....except when she is being bad. Then she is VERY BAD. Her fondness for paper is getting her into all sorts of trouble.
But she's so PRETTY!!!!
Good thing, since Hubby is really quite attached to his books and magazines.
And she's the very best snuggler.
She has two speeds: On, and Off. There is no such thing as medium. We choose her after carefully researching all kinds of breeds, and she fits into our family perfectly! (Except for the magazine destroying. We don't normally do that.)
She has red hair. So do 3 of us.
She sunburns easily. Hubby burns his forehead almost everyday driving to school.
She is all long, lean, limbs....like the children. NOT like me.
She thinks the best way to spend an evening is curled up on the couch, watching TV or reading a book.
It took me many long years of begging and pleading, but I finally got my dog. She was worth the wait!

Okay then!!
Thanks for all the support, guys! I didn't realize anyone would still be checking on me.
Life in the Average household is going great. Boy Terror got his tonsils out last week, and so a lot of ice cream has been consumed. I made sure to eat it with him, so he wouldn't feel alone. I'm nice that way.
Last week as we were driving, Boy Terror said "Mummy, I know what two sixteen's are....thirty two!" (I'm adapting to his habit of sharing random number info with me). He then continued "and 4 x 8 is 32. 8 x 4 is 32. 15+17 is ALSO 32. Oh, and 30 + 2 is 32, but everybody knows that!" then he giggled to himself and, I assume, continued thinking funny thoughts about numbers for the rest of the drive home. He's cute, but very weird.

I can't stay away....
Hmmm.....lately I've found myself composing blog entries in my head. Perhaps it's time to come back?
