Shopping entertainment

Girl Terror loves to sing. And she loves to shop. So naturally, she is thrilled when she can combine those activities. Now that Boy Terror "sings" along with her, she just cranks up the volume and away we go.
We were grocery shopping on Tuesday, and she decided to share her good mood with the world. In the bread section, she started with "Good bye Song" from Bear in the Big Blue House. Dairy, we heard ABC's. In the cereal aisle, she gave me a blessed moment of peace while she sang "Twinkle twinkle" in her quiet, whisper voice just like Raffi taught her. That was short lived, and by the time we got to the crackers, she was full into "Itsy-Bitsy Spider", complete with actions. About half-way through the store, we turned into an aisle and met up with two women, who were grinning ear to ear. "We knew we'd see you sooner or later", they told her, "We've been listening to your music since we came into the store!" I just stood there and cringed. Girl Terror beamed at them. "I SINGING!!!" Like they couldn't tell. And off she went, into "Are you sleeping".
Our next stop was WalMart, where she didn't sing, but kept up a running commentary about everything she saw, thought, and heard. When we were checking out, she skipped her usual Name/Age/Greeting conversation with the cashier, and started right into "I a big girl! I go POOP in the POTTY!!" If you have a 3 year old, you know just how nicely that voice can carry. Too bad she's a friggin' liar. Poop in the potty would be a great conversation, if it were only true!

Is that kid one of those monsters that go dump in the night?

(I bet you're really proud of her, a 3-year-old with massive repertoire.)

I guess its a good thing my daughter and yours never met in a grocery store checkout line...we'd neither of us have any secrets left to tell. :)

My daughter used to sing in the stores. Now? It's the car or at home. My son? He's still figuring out words. It's great that your daughter was having a good time. And that she shared her spirit with everyone else! No need to cringe. I'm sure everyone found it to be an unexpected bit to smile about.

At least she isn't shy! No worries there.

Full of life. That's wonderful.
