Today

Okay. Enough whining. Back to our regularly scheduled programming....

Hubby is a teacher. I've mentioned that before, haven't I? What that means is, in addition to shaping young minds, getting satisfaction from sharing wisdom, blah blah blah, he also is exposed to every germ, flu, cold, bug there is. For his birthday he brought home a doozy. He had the sore throat and snotty nose all weekend, and now Girl Terror, Boy Terror and myself are all miserable. One year olds cannot blow their noses. They just let the snot drip into their mouth. Eewwww. Neither kid cares that my head is going to explode out my sinuses any minute, they just want to whine and moan at me. Morning arrived today at 6 am, when they both started waking up, making noises, but didn't wake up enough to actually get out of bed. Just enough to rouse me every few minutes. And? Today, I get to go to the gynecologist! Could today BE any better?!

Hmmm. Still looks like whining, doesn't it? I'll work on something better today while I sit in the doc's waiting room.

Whine away....I do when I have a gyno visit...then I lay back a count the dots in the ceiling tiles.

I'm glad the kidlet's nose finally stopped running - it seems she gets a cold every couple months. She DOES know how to blow it, just never when I have tissue handy. Even when I do have a tissue, she holds her breath if I hold it close to her nose. She'll wait until I move it away, then blow big snot bubbles out her nose. Niiiice.

Thank you for yesterday's post. I am trying to work up the courage to talk to my Dr. without bursting into noisy, snotty tears about the despair I sometimes feel.

Mental health does still feel like such a stigma, and yet I know that myself, my husband, and my chlidren will all be the better if I can be a little more balanced from day to day. It's always nice to know I'm not alone.

Ah, feel free to whine, we are doing our fair share around here with persistant allergies and hubby is sick too.
