Home!!

We're home! The trip was absolutely great. Hubby's family reunion was soo much fun. They are a great bunch of people, and I didn't want to leave. His grandmother trained under a chef in Paris, so all she taught all her kids to cook. All the uncle's and the one aunt can cook! In fact, Uncle E is a gourmet chef. So the food was fantastic, to say the least. Our kids were loved, hugged, kissed, and cuddled to within an inch of their lives. They soaked it up like little sponges. It was really neat to see a whole crowd of people just like Hubby. A bit like the twilight zone, but neat. Everyone brought their family history stuff, and they shared, read, and compared. Hubby has been named the family historian, since he has the most interest, and has done so much research. It's a fascinating family history, and they are very proud of it.
We also took time to go to the zoo, which was Girl Terror's fantasy day. She was a bit disappointed when we couldn't actually go in the cages to see the animals, and the dinosaurs were statues instead of real, live ones, which she was a bit upset about. But other than that, she was thrilled.
On the way home we went to West Edmonton Mall and swam in the water park/wave pool. It cost more than getting my own damn pool, but it was worth it. Both kids are like fish. Boy Terror grinned, and grinned, and grinned. For each wave he said "Whoa" as we jumped, and then laughed. Poor kid was so tired he was staggering, but there was no way he would take a break.
It's good to be home, in my own bed, sitting still, and being quiet. I missed you all, so I'm off now to make the rounds and see what I missed!

I add my welcome back to the rest.
When I saw the picture of Girl Terror, I immediately thought of Charlie Brown's Little Red-headed Girl. :)

Sounds like you all had a fantastic time. Is your hubby going to put together a photo album of the reunion & send one out to all who attended?
