Loove for the Terrors.

The Terrors are in love. Not with each other, that would be too easy. They are in serious, stars-in-the-eyes love with Scott and Sherry. These friends of ours have no Terrors of their own. Therefore, they sleep in on weekends. They spend hours on the computer. They can go out, or stay in, or hang upside down from the ceiling if they like, and no one asks "What doin?" "Why?" "Me too?" Most importantly, Scott and Sherry can store up energy so they survive time at our house.
Scott is a human jungle gym. Or a horse. Or sometimes, a trampoline. Girl Terror twitched all over last night while she was waiting for him to finish his BBQ supper, so she could sit and snuggle and pester him.
Sherry can, and will, play/dance/sit on the floor for hours. I don't know how she manages to stay looking interested and alert. Personally, my legs go numb and my brain starts shutting down after 1/2 an hour of such activity.
Last weekend, Girl Terror told Scott. "Scott, I really love you." Awwww. THIS weekend, she told me that the next time we get a "smooshed up house" (translation: a duplex) we should make Scott and Sherry live in the other half. "Wouldn't that be great, Mummy? Hmmm?!"
I can just picture it now. I would get all the poopy diapers, the midnight bellows, and the ear infections. Scott and Sherry would enjoy the snuggles, playing, and giggles. The only good part would be the ability to send two wide awake Terrors next door every Sunday morning at the crack of dawn!

Not to worry, kid. They just turned into grandparents way before you did.
