I bought two skirts today, and the total price was $23.00.

I'm cheap. (I shop at the consignment shop, which is where I got the skirts.) That or I've reached the age when it's normal to shake your head, and say "In my day, we never paid those prices. Why, you could get a bag of chips for a nickel! And the bag was full!"
I saw a belt in a magazine today for $495. I assume those are U.S. dollars, so it would actually cost me approximately $100,000 Canadian. That seems a bit excessive for a belt.
I love shoes. Really, really love shoes. I never go on vacation with less than four pair, and I'd take more if Hubby would let me. But even I refuse to pay $3050.00 for these shoes. They're ugly, for one thing.
If you are in the market for a new dresser for the Baby, you should consider getting a dresser that can double as a change table. This one will include a change table adapter, for the low price of $132.00. Of course, the actual dresser itself is priced at $1738.00.
When the Terrors are older, and they stop wiping snot all over the couch, I want to buy some new furniture. If I start saving now, and rob a bank or two, I should be able to order all my stuff from here. And look! A pop-up TV screen! That's gotta be worth at least $30,000 extra, wouldn't you say?

Ditto Danelle. Mine are 19,16,15,7. I refuse to buy a new
couch.

Those are really ugly shoes. I'd turn my nose up at them if they were brand new at Goodwill.

Consignments ROCK!! YES! The difference between brand new and consignment is the consignment stuff tags don't scratch anymore.

Yucky shoes!!!!Isn't just amazing (or appalling) what people will spend their money on??
There is a TV in our local Costco that is $19,000. And you know, someone is going to buy it....ridiculous!!
We've had 13 kids in and out of our home over the past 10 years. My furniture looks like it is well "sat upon", but I refuse to buy a new couch until it falls apart. Now it's just become the principle of it...when the kids are done eating, sleeping and hanging off the furniture..then I'll but one....

Some of the nicest outfits I've ever purchased were from consignment shops. I go there first. Always. No matter what. I even bought most of my furniture at auction sales.

Used? Naw. Broke in.

I bought my first car when I was 16 years old. Cost me $5 to fill the take when I was down to fumes. *sigh*

I am soon going to buy a new couch but seeing as how my little princess is four and in full get-it-on-the-couch age range, I am getting a new USED couch.

Gak! $495 for a BELT!?!

I am the stingyest person in the world when it comes to clothes - I reckon a fiver is an acceptable price for pretty much any item of clothing. I might stretch to £15 for a going out outfit. That's English pounds, so add a bit on for $, but still...
