update!

I'm writing this entry as fast as I can, because Little Bear is on and it's a short program....Here's an update and all that:
The spots are still with us. Girl Terror just has redness now, where her spots were. Boy Terror still has actual spots, but I think he's on the mend. I, however, have just broken out in spots. All over. No school for me today (which takes care of daycare for today!). Argh.
The 80 days is actually 89, and I'm only counting first semester!! The semesters switch the first of February, and then I'll have another 89 days, which gives me a total of 178 school days for the year. Clearer now? I hope my math is right...
Northern Girl: Thanks! Spelling lists. Got any spelling lists for 9/10? They really, really need it. The 10 General in particular.
Anonymous: I wish I went to school for 2 months, too. Sadly, once I learned to count I realized it's actually a lot longer.
Sky: I teach at F.H. I'm upstairs in the Science wing, room 217. Come find me!! I'd love to meet! Hubby is at PC. He's shy, though.
Beth: I DO write, I DO!!! Just not very often. I know. I'm sorry. Sigh.
ForWIW: The teens are only scary for the first few days. Then it's all good. I never have to wipe noses, students rarely sob in my class, and if I don't have to say things like "Johnny, we don't colour on our friends. Say sorry to Mary."
TC: I'm terrified to send the kids to school. My only consolation is that fact that I will be there, watching everything like a hawk. They are so going to HATE me!

lol, mary p...my daughter often came home with doodles on her in high school, usually written by the person sitting next to her. I can only imagine what she wrote on them!

Obviously the "doodlers" never were in my class. You're absolutely right, I do teach them not to colour on each other.
I have spelling lists and a few other resources if you need some. Let me know.
Oh, and thank you for the pineapple suggestion. Sounds totally bizarre...and therefore a definite must! I'll let you know what the food critics think.

I'm always writing on my kids, things like LUNCH BOX or SIGNED PAPERS. Notes don't work, it has to be embarrassing.

AM- bless you and your spots. May you not feel too cruddy while all spotty.

I THOUGHT 178 was a lot more than 89, but since I didn't graduate in the last 40 years I wasn't sure....
