Spring Break

We are on Spring Break here in the Average household, and life is sweet. Yes, I love my job, and my students this semester are the best I've ever had, but....
Going into the break, my plans included nothing more taxing than moving from the bed to the couch. I felt mentally and physically wiped out, and I figured two weeks of being a slug would be all I could manage. But somehow, just knowing that I am on a break has been enough to revitalize me! So far, I have:
-Played a good game of poker. I didn't win much, but I didn't lose, either, so for me it was a good night.
-Done 3 loads of laundry.
-Taken Girl Terror to dance class.
-Discovered the hidden area of a local shop, filled with cake decorating paraphernalia.
-Baked a cake....from scratch!
-Decorated the cake with fondant...my first attempt.
-Changed half the clocks in the house for daylight savings.
-Hugged my babies.

I have no idea what the plan for today is, but I'm sure it will be relaxing and fun. Perhaps not as relaxing and fun as being in a warm, tropical place like many of my friends and colleagues, but still just what I need.

I'm going to say that was the Riverside Grocery... I LOVE that place!

Congrats on your first fondant cake decorating experience! What did you do with it? I've not yet ventured into that arena -- it seems so, I don't know, fancy or something. :)

Have a great spring break!

Good for you on relaxing. You'll have to tell me how that works again. I've forgotten :)
Have fun!
