Summer, 2012

Summer is not over, but I thought I'd better give you an update on what we've been doing.  It's been a fabulous time here!  We've gone on two trips down south.  The first trip was to Sylvan Lake, AB to see friends from our university days.
We headed off bright and early, and oh so cheerily!!

The drive is two loooong days, but the Terrors are wonderful travelers.  They read, listen to music, and are just generally happy to be on the road.

They even nap back there.

Once we arrived, we had a blast hanging out with the Naugler family.  Tannen and Evan were like two peas in a pod the entire time.

We saw plenty of wildlife on the road.

On our second trip, we went to Fort St John to visit family.  It was a totally unexpected trip, but a great idea!  We stayed with Uncle Andy and Aunt Karen, and they were wonderful hosts.  They took us to the WAC Bennett dam.  The drive was gorgeous, of course we took pictures.

We spent a lot of time just enjoying family, talking, and laughing together.  I married into a great bunch!!

We saw even MORE wildlife, incuding several moose.  Check out the mother moose with her baby!

We were also much, much more tired.  

It's good to go, but it's always great to be home.  Off to enjoy the rest of the summer!
