Conversations with the family

Hubby called his father this weekend to wish him happy birthday. When Dad answered the phone, Hubby said "Happy Birthday!" Dad said "You know we made out our wills, right?" Does anyone else think that maybe this is not the correct response to birthday wishes?!

Sounds like a character, correct or not. Was he joking?

Guess someone was feeling his mortality, huh? That wouldn't be the way I would respond, but I could think of a couple people that wouldn't surprise me with that kind of thing. :-)

Raehan - "a character" pretty much describes him! No, he wasn't joking!

On no! LOL Hubby turns 40 in June. We are in the process of getting life insurance, living wills and getting our life in order - per his directive. So either he is feeling the pangs of middle age....or he's planning to off me. LOL I suspect it's the first...

btw, 37F is warm...we are finally getting a heatwave! :)

If he wasn't joking, than that is hilarious...and of course inappropriate.

HA! Kind of reminds me of my mom who'll snap "What's so good about it?" when someone says "Good morning!"

Don't you love seniors sometimes - Your husband should have come back with - "Do I get it all!"

LOL! I'm having too much fun today reading your blog (still laughing out loud)--I think you did a GREAT characterization with so few words. I'll be chuckling all weekend.
