Life is never dull

I really, really hope Hubby calls me before he reads this...

I love candles. I was at a partylite candle party a month ago, and bought some yummy strawberry rhubarb tealights, and since then I have been burning them all the time. I like to have a nice smelling house! Well. All that has changed. I just now lit a candle in the bathroom, and leaned over to pick the match off the floor, and...well...you can picture it. Ponytail on fire. Whoosh. Thankfully, I was in the bathroom, so I grabbed a wet facecloth and put out the fire on my head before I was hurt or bald. But I need a haircut now. Quite badly. Only in one section, but still, I've never been able to pull off the asymetrical look.
Burning hair reeks. The strawberry rhubarb has no chance against that stench. Hubby hates the scented candles, so this will give him ammunition against them. Sigh. I just wanted to smell pretty...

Glad you are okay. Scary how things can happen so quickly.

Don't you hate it when the hubby's have ammunition. Someday I'll tell you about what mine has against me. A lot worse than that. About $3000 worth of damage worth.

Ahhh the smell of burning hair...I remember it well. I lit a furnance years ago and it kind of blew up on me. Lost both eyebrows, my eyelashes and much of the hair on my head. Talk about "stank".

On the other hand - it was ammunition for ME - poor poor me - Hubby should have lit the dang thing. LOL

Yikes! All I could picture is a head of flames... glad it wasn't that bad... had to chuckle at J&J's mom's comment: "light the yummy candles again quick!" Too funny. This would be a classic case for a guy to be able to come along side of his wife and supporting her by handing over $80.00 and telling her to go get a haircut... with a peck on the cheek and an "I love you" as she quickly rushes off to the hairstylist... instead of saying, "I told you we shouldn't have boughten those candles..." Hopefully, your husband chooses the high road. ;)

Oh, you poor thing! I always worry about forgetting the candle in the bathroom is lit, but I've never had that happen! (Yet.) :)

Only funny because I can SO relate. Watch out for the big 3-wick - they can burn your purse straight to hell.
