Remember when....

Girl Terror has some elephant DNA, I'm sure. She never, ever forgets. That child remembers what she was wearing on a picnic last summer. She knows every item of food she ate at a dinner months ago. The cat threw up on her once, and she likes to visit that story quite regularly. Anytime I tell her to be careful on a chair, she reminds me of when her little friend Alex didn't listen to him mummy, and wasn't careful on the chair, and he fell down. Remember?! A scar on my hand makes her talk about sharp knives, and being careful when doing dishes. Because "remember? Remember when you got cut?" And she will always be there, in the backseat, to remind me of my car accident.
"Mummy, remember when you weren't careful? And we went in the ditch? And the car hit the tree? Hmm, Mummy? Remember?" She's also very helpful. She tells me to be careful, it might be icy, we might go off the road again. When Hubby is driving, she likes to compare us. "Daddy, you are a good driver. Mummy.....you are a good driver, sometimes."

I wish I had a memory that good. My little Princess Belle is always surprising me with how much she remembers.

They don't have a lot else going on, so they can dedicate 2000w of brain power to remembering you said you'd buy them a bag of M&Ms 'tomorrow.'
